As I get older, the holidays seem less and less like the holidays and more so what I make of them. For the last week or so I've been throwing myself a mini pity party. Well the party is over! I'm going to quit feeling sorry for myself because I can't spend the holidays with my special someone. Instead, I'm going to appreciate the fact that I have a special someone and people to spend the holidays with! I mean, hey, there's always next year right? I guess that can be the theme for 2009.
So, after figuring all that out, let the games begin! Up first on my list of things to do, buy a tree. My mom and I are going to attempt the buying and decorating of the tree on our own. No boys allowed. I've never actually had to manhandle the tree before, but it can't be that bad. Pictures soon to follow. I've also decided to make Christmas gifts this year. Don't ask what I've decided to do because I haven't the slightest idea. But whatever I choose is going to be great! Martha Stewart might be my new best friend. Tis the season to be merry!
