Instead, today, I write you to tell you that I'm jumping on the bandwagon of running. In my opinion running nowadays is like the whole sushi craze. Let's be honest becoming a rummer and running all these marathons is the new black. So, consider me gothic because I want to do it too! Before moving here I was doing great! Running every other day and I got up to running 3 1/2 miles (my personal best, as lame as it sounds). However, there have been some road blocks with the whole running thing since I've moved.
Don't get me wrong, Alaska is a beautiful place to run and there are trails that literally connect to my house. However, I'm not all too comfortable with my surroundings to run alone. I live in a nice neighborhood with kids on every street, but living in California has made me a little jaded to the fact that I'm waiting to get attacked or kidnapped. Call me crazy, but better safe than sorry.
Luckily, John has been motivation for me to start running again. We are trying to run every night. We started last night and it was a little rough considering last week we indulged in fatty foods and booze. Personally, I think it was well worth it. Anyways, once I get back up to 3 miles I'll start buying the gear I've been eyeing.
These will be my reward...

Happy Running!
Love Love Love the facelift!!! Also, I love that you can call us "the lower 48". And for the record, I do expect more in another post. I've missed you! And since you are in a different state that's not even connected our country, I expect updates so that I can feel 'connected'. Love and miss you, Boo!
ReplyDeleteNike Free Runs are ah-may-zing! Best of luck and happy shopping!
ReplyDeleteI tried them on and now I am slowly developing an awful relationship with my current running shoes. I put them on and all I can think is "you are so heavy!". I want the Free Runs! Soon...
